Ipswich Historical Society

1041 Redbank Plains Road, 4303 New Chum, , Australia

Collects, preserve, conserve, interpret, educate and display the social history of the Ipswich region and in doing so, present the region's rich heritage in a building that meets all modern standards thus allowing equality of access to all with safe and friendly facilities. As well as our aims, the objective of the Society is to restore Cooneana Homestead (circa 1868) and display artifacts and period furniture inside the house. Currently, artifacts, furniture and photographs are displayed in the museum which is housed inside the main building. These displays are updated on a regular basis.
